ENDORSEMENT

The Dr. Elouise Endorsement

What It Is

The Dr. Elouise Endorsement is my personal mark of recognition for the most exciting early-stage vendors in procurement technology, seed-funded, pre-Series A, or bootstrapped companies doing something the market hasn't seen before. I'm not looking for the biggest names or the loudest pitches. I'm looking for originality, conviction, and founders who are genuinely ahead.

It is given to a small number of vendors. It will never be handed out freely.

How It Works

There is no application. No submission form. No checklist. I decide and I decide alone.

The endorsement is given when a vendor catches my attention through a demo, a conversation, a pitch, or simply by doing something in the market I cannot ignore. I bring more than a quarter century of procurement experience to that judgment, and I do not give it lightly.

There is no compensation involved, not ever, not in any form. Many of the founders I endorse, I actively coach as a volunteer. This seal is not for sale and never will be.

And, I don't even tell the founders that they are on the list. I'm not doing this for the accolades or to curry favor with them.

What I'm Looking For

The criteria are simple, but they're mine and they're not negotiable.

1. Client Relevance — Would I put this in front of my clients? Can I explain it to them in a way that makes their eyes light up? If the answer is yes, that's a strong signal. If I'm struggling to articulate why it matters to a real procurement organization, it doesn't make the cut, no matter how impressive the technology sounds on paper.

2. A Founder Worth Betting On — Many of the companies I endorse have no clients yet. That's fine. What I'm evaluating isn't the customer list, it's the person behind the idea. I've spent more than a quarter century learning to distinguish passion from noise, and vision from theater. When a founder matches my level of intensity and has genuine command of the problem they're solving, I notice. When they don't, I notice that too.

3. Is This a Legitimate Technology? — Does this actually do what it claims? Is there real substance behind the pitch or is it a wrapper dressed up as a product? I've seen enough of both to know the difference quickly. Either the technology is real, or it isn't. No deck changes that.

A Note on Longevity

Not every endorsed vendor makes it. Some solutions quietly slip away before they ever reach scale and that's okay. That's what innovation looks like. I'm not promising a winner. I'm saying this is someone worth watching.

When an endorsed company closes their Series A, the endorsement retires. This seal belongs to the early days, the moment before the market catches up.

Who I Am

I am Dr. Elouise, procurement thought leader and digital futurist with more than a quarter century of experience advising the world's largest organizations on how technology reshapes supply chains, sourcing, and the future of work.

I have seen every wave of procurement technology come and go. I know the difference between a feature, a product, and a fundamental market shift. Between noise and signal. Between a vendor with a deck and a founder with a vision.

This endorsement is what I give when I see the latter.

The Bottom Line

This seal is rare by design. It recognizes the vendors doing genuinely new things and the founders with the conviction to see them through.
